Who I am…

I am a 200 hour Certified Yoga Teacher. I received my training through Satya Yoga in Rhinebeck, New York, under the instruction of Sondra Loring. My teaching is inspired by Pattabhi Jois’ Ashtanga Yoga and B.K.S Iyengar’s philosophy and focus on anatomy. In my classes, I focus on synching movement with breath, anatomical alignment, and catering to the specific needs of my student. I teach classes, privates, semi-privates, chair yoga, yoga for seniors, parent and child (infants and toddles), and partnering yoga (an intro to acro yoga).

How privates work…

Yoga privates are done either in the comfort of your own home, or my small private yoga studio where I have an Iyengar rope wall. You tell me what your goals are, be it emotional, spiritual, physical, and I create a tailored lesson specific for your needs.

What you can expect…

After a yoga private together you will leave with a sense of grounding down into the earth. Your head will feel easeful resting on your spine. Your lungs will feel expansive as you move air in and out of them. Your skin will feel activated. Your spine will feel lengthened. Your senses will be invigorated. Food will taste better, your sense of smell will sharpen, your mind will being to calm and see clearer.

You will need: a mat, a blanket (or two), a set of blocks, a strap, and a bolster (or a makeshift one from towels)

Where you can find me now…

I currently teach at various YMCA’s across New York City & at The Shala (both the Fort Greene and Union Square locations).
